This is just a brief bio. I'm not going to go into great depth here, just enough so those folks
doing Family trees and stuff will find this helpful.
I was born in Phoenix, Arizona on January 13, 1953. My parents were
Bettie Lou Thompson and Russell Herbert Hoverson.
I have a younger brother named Robin. I also have a half brother from my dad's second marriage named Russell.
While growing up we lived in Phoenix, AZ; Yuma, AZ; Los Angeles, CA; Winter-haven, CA; Raymond, CA.
As an adult I lived for about 30 years in Southern California, L.A./Orange County area and for a few years in mid Iowa.
Currently I live with my son in Northern Virginia.
I met my husband in 1978 while working at a care center in Long Beach, CA. We were married in Iowa in 1983 and bought our first house
in Mont Claire, CA the same year. I had my son Henry in 1988.
We moved to Mid-Iowa in 1997 and we divorced in 1999. that's when my
son and I moved to Virginia.
As far as work goes, I've done some waitressing, nurses aid, activities director/social service, drove a van for the handicapped,
and ran my own licensed day care home. I finally got a job doing
graphic art work for a screen printers.
While I was home after the birth of my son,
screen print shops moved from hand paste up to computers. So I took a computer graphics course at the local
community college and got a job again doing screen printing art.
Since I worked with computers, I taught myself several programs and eventually got a job working for a little computer store-
internet service in Iowa. I now work at a small ISP in Northern Virginia doing technical support and web hosting.
